UNITY AND PEACE : SOCIAL BONDING IMPERATIVES TO BE CELEBRATED IN CAMEROON ON 20 MAY 2024 “Army and Nation: together for a United, Peaceful and Prosperous Cameroon”. This is the official theme of the 52nd National Day celebrations. A closer look reveals that unity and peace are two moral attitudes, two civic and ideological imperatives that the Army and the Nation must embrace, to achieve our Prosperity. Unity and Peace are two patriotic intentions that our Army and our Nation must cultivate, promote, consolidate and preserve. These are intentions that find their justification in the persistence of the prevailing intellectual-moral inversion whose ambition is to deny and disqualify the irrefutable ontological foundations of the unity of the more than 250 ethnic groups that make up Cameroon. And it is precisely against these attempts to deny the homogeneity of our people and to undermine our peaceful nature that the architects, guardians and guarantors of our National Unity rose in revolt. In their youthful vigour, and bearing the brunt of the deceptive manoeuvres of foreign domination, our trailblazers very early on developed bonds of solidarity that even today more than resist the distorted narratives and fallacies of exclusion that breed violence.

The Third Punic War had its roots in the aftermath of Carthage's losses in the First and Second Punic Wars. After these defeats, Carthage relinquished control of Sicily, its Spanish empire, and its military independence, in addition to paying substantial reparations to Rome. Despite setbacks, Carthage recovered economically through trade. They also maintained friendly relations with Rome, even declaring Hannibal an exile when he sought refuge at the court of Antiochus III. Furthermore, Carthage supplied Rome with grain, barley, and military assistance for campaigns in other regions while consistently meeting reparation payments from the Second Punic War. However, as the second century BC unfolded, Carthage became increasingly assertive in its pursuit of autonomy, mainly due to its territorial losses to the Numidian kingdom under Masinissa. The Numidians steadily encroached on Carthaginian lands, ultimately seizing approximately half of the territory Carthage had possessed in 200 BC. Tensions reached a critical point when Carthage responded to an attack on Oroscopa by dispatching an army of 31,000 soldiers to confront the Numidian king in 150 BC. Tragically, Carthage's military campaign ended in disaster, with their army suffering a devastating defeat. This turn of events presented Rome with a pretext to finally settle old scores with its perennial rival, sack Carthage, and seize what seemed like an easy spoils of war. In the Roman Senate, figures like Marcus Porcius Cato, who had observed Carthage's resurgence, vehemently argued that Carthage should be destroyed, citing Carthage's unapproved military actions against a Roman ally. Free Middle-East = Free Palestine 🇵🇸 One is sick of growing up as an African and Middle-Eastern hearing mainstream media about American War in the Middle-East or European Forces war in Africa. What is the USA 🇺🇸 and European 🇪🇺 NATO or any other foreign military forces frankly doing in the Middle-East and Africa? It has been a century or more and colonialism did not show any type of innovation in the region or role model in respecting sovereignty and traditions or religions of the natives and do not tell me look at Dubai and Gulf States, because it is all black oil and exhibit colonialism characteristics at its best 📸 🌍 Peace to the world 🌎 why not people respect international waters and borders and stop flexing muscles thousand miles away of their homes to scare and provoke other people. Why not there is a true United Nation System that works?!! At least let's end clear occupation situations and bit by bit other conflict can follow to resolve to a much larger extent. There won't be 100% no issues the human nature likely to continue, but clear genocide and occupation should be top priority to put it to an end.

The relationship between Africa and the rest of the world is an unequal relationship. Its a relationship between the horse and the rider. Africa being the horse and riders being China, America, Britain, France, Russia, Turkey and all those who have vested interests and military bases in Africa. 🇦🇫🌟 Reflecting on my time in Afghanistan 🇪🇪🤝 My mission in Afghanistan wasn't just about accomplishing tasks; it was about pushing boundaries. As a member of the Scouts Battalion, we represented our country, Estonia and the coalition forces with unwavering determination – an accomplishment worth every ounce of sweat. But it's the personal experiences etched into my memory that truly set my journey apart. I faced fear head-on, the same fear that fueled the taliban fighters on the opposing side. They sought to eliminate us, but we stood strong. I survived an IED (improvised explosive device) attack on our armored vehicle, emerging with shock, awe, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude to be alive. Then there was that unforgettable last operation before my return home, an experience so unsettling that fear momentarily put me to sleep on the last night. Before joining with Combat Ready, I struggled to articulate the lessons concealed within these experiences.
