This the basic question, but it’s important to start from the scratch. Well, distribution transformers link the MV to the LV system and step down the electrical power to be distributed to the intended low-voltage level (e.g. 400 V/230 V 3AC). They are available as three-phase oil-immersed or dry-type transformers in the standardized power range 50 kVA ≤ SrT ≤ 2,500 kVA. To supply power to the load centres and main loads in industrial plants, dry-type transformers according to EN 60076-11 are preferred. This technical article will take a distribution transformer type ‘GEAFOL’ as an example.

Transformers with two winding designs have been universally accepted by power plants. These configurations are known as 30° lead (11) and 30° lag (1) transformer respectively. In order to keep the angle between the grid (which is supposed to be 0) and the remainder of the station service, the practice is to string the downstream plant transformers in series to move back and forth. This is done in order to maintain the angle, which can be either +30° or −30°, as demonstrated in Table 1a and 1b, which is an actual scenario for a power plant. Upon receiving power from the grid via station service transformers (SSTs), the unit services bus on this specific power plant is adjusted by +30° after three grid transformations, operating at 415 V. Both the generating path and the grid can access the same services bus via the auxiliary transformer (UAT) on two transformations.

firstly ,I want to thank EPE Group for their efforts and outstanding role to make us achieve huge benefit from that course ❤. then , About panel builder session , I can say that we concentrate on the main points about panel content and some supplementary topics about it. 🔵we learned what is the panel as it's an enclosure with copper bars , ammeters, voltmeters , some accessories and so on . 🔵we knew the aim of the panel as it can be used in protection, isolation and in control field . 🔴 we classify panels according to their voltage , purpose, installation, location and construction . about voltage category panels brached to low , medium, high voltage switchgear. about purpose we knew the sequence of electricity distribution from the transformers until the final branch . 🔴 we knew the role of ATS panel and how it coordinate between MDB , Generator , and EMDB . we learned about PFC panel and it's role in improving power factor to be nearly equal 1 by decreasing apparent power . 🟢we learned the ways of installation of panels and their locations if they are indoors or outdoors and type of panels which exist panel board for small places and switch board for big ones . 🟢we got knowledge about the difference between the original manufacturer and panel builder. 🟡we have recognized the engineers' role in that field and the job description of each of them . 🔴we took a look on IP and IK . 🔴finally we have been discussed the low voltage circuit breaker and it's thermal and magnetic trip .
