Their main product, DIDGE Autonomous Robots, captures 360-degree photos to enhance safety and efficiency. Using AI, these robots provide valuable insights, making construction work easier and more accurate. Nextera Robotics aims to reduce the need for humans to perform repetitive and tough tasks. In the past, robot grippers used in industrial environments included manually programmed robotic grippers equipped with 3D cameras for pick and place. The size and weight of the cameras and the need to train the robot’s control program with changing environments resulted in longer takt time, lower processing speeds, and higher system costs. Roboshin, a Japanese company, commercialized a fully automated robot system that combines 3D recognition software and a robot gripper equipped with LUCID’s 3D Time-of-Flight Helios cameras. The system is completely independent of the type of robot gripper and the environment in which it is used.   LUCID’s Helios2 and Helios2+ cameras are compact, factory-tough, lightweight, and are equipped with Sony’s DepthSense™ technology to capture high-definition, real-time 3D point cloud data. If you have toured BMW's South Carolina plant, you have seen a highly automated operation with an impressive array of single-purpose robotic technology. General purpose robots can work in tight spaces, in hazardous environments and they don't need vacation, breaks or sick leave. As these robots evolve, there will be a step change in manufacturing productivity, cost reduction and safety for human workers. They’ve raised $500 K. Adagy Robotics is led by Founder Kathleen Brandes Number two, NEXT modular vehicles. NEXT Future Transportation is a startup that is creating an autonomous electric vehicle called the "Pod" and an accompanying Operating System for their Transportation-as-a-Service solutions. Their modular platform lets pods connect while moving, forming fleets with greater interior space than standard buses or trains for urban transport and logistics. They’ve raised $2.6 million. NEXT Future Transportation is led by Founder Tommaso G. And number one, Ripcord. Ripcord is a company specializing in developing a robotic system for digitizing documents, allowing for paperless management. Their platform creates digital replicas of information using sensors, automation software, document scanning, and accurate recognition. They’ve raised $149.4 million.
