AOGs. At some time most of us have done an AOG recovery and probably remember the first one. I've done to many to count but definitely remember the first one. End of the day shift after 10 hours, the phone goes DC9 AOG in CDG. Mobile/Laptop forget them. Microfiche, not a chance. Look at the defect copy the AMM and take the parts. "You coming Gaz" "Yes mate". You go, you troubleshoot and replace the valve had correctly worked it out before flying over. The buzz of first shot recovery is memorable. Gaz (RIP mate. Too young-Covid) was a mechanic I worked with often. The Mechanics whether licenced or not are the backbone of the line operation and to those Apprentices out there I advise work with the mechanics as often as you can. Often they choose not to be licenced but are happy with their role. They can teach and guide the young engineers coming into todays industry. (Not my photo).

The most important thing in the job is to love what you do, as a CFBT instructor I enjoy every training and every day that I teach the trainees who come to our training facility, One of the most important experiments is the pyrolysis experiment in which we teach several things: A. The difference in which the material reaches the area of ignition and we compare between wood and Styrofoam. B. Smoke and its properties C. FGI All this gives us the continuation of the way in studying the cooling of the gases and the meaning of the fire phenomena
