Congratulations to Ross Dunn, CTO of GKN Aerospace, on his appointment as the new Chair of the Hydrogen in Avaition (HIA) alliance. Bristol Airport is a proud member of HIA - which is leading groundbreaking efforts in the UK to prepare the global aviation industry for the hydrogen transition. This includes work to get airport infrastructure ready to receive and refuel zero emissions hydrogen aircraft. We look forward to continuing to work with our fellow members Airbus, easyJet, GKN Aerospace, Ørsted, Rolls-Royce and ZeroAvia.
We’re delighted to announce that today, Russ Dunn, Chief Technology Officer at GKN Aerospace, will become the new Chair of Hydrogen in Aviation (HIA). Russ leads GKN Aerospace’s global technology portfolio, working across the business to create more sustainable aerospace technologies and manufacturing. He is passionate about the potential of hydrogen-powered aviation, and the incredible work that HIA members are doing in the UK to prepare the global industry to transition to hydrogen. The HIA includes partners easyJet, Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Ørsted, Bristol Airport, GKN Aerospace and ZeroAvia. We’re grateful to outgoing Chair, easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren, for his leadership of HIA since its creation in 2023.
