It has been revealed by Extreme E and ENOWA, that during the Hydro X Prix, 80% of the power produced, was generated through using hydrogen fuel cells. This event took place in Scotland over one weekend and for it, ENOWA provided 700kg of green hydrogen, whilst Kaizen Clean Energy was the company to bring the fuel cell technology. Throughout the event, the race site managed to use the 11MWh produced to support charging, catering and event control power. The article below is dedicated to an astounding breakthrough, involving the discovery that hydrogen is capable of powering an impressive amount of technology. Through a collaboration between separate parties, this excellent and innovative project was brought to fruition and it has proved that there is a lot more potential within hydrogen, yet to be discovered. Messer is an industrial gas major and they have recently created a 10MW green hydrogen plant, located in Germany, specifically Brainergy Park Jülich. The expectation of this plant, is for it to have an hourly production capacity of 180kg of hydrogen. This brilliant capacity will make it the ‘largest’ production facility within Germany. It has been announced that the German government has granted 4.6 billion euros to twenty-three green hydrogen projects. Simultaneously, bp has revealed the company’s individual plan to create a 100 MW green hydrogen installation, which is due to be based in Germany. Aslan Energy Capital has agreed, through a deal, to buy 35,000 hectares of land in Mexico. This has been done with the plan that by 2030, this land will host 1.2 million tonnes of green ammonia production, on an annual basis. Through an agreement with Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Co., Ltd.(SHPT), it has been announced that Sydrogen Energy will be introducing new technology to the maritime industry. This technology will be a 250kW hydrogen fuel cell and it is scheduled to join the industry in 2025. The article below discusses the new technology which will soon be entering the hydrogen industry and both benefitting it and propelling it forwards.
