I want to take a moment to talk about something that has deeply resonated with me—a young man named Caleb Williams, a top NFL quarterback draft pick, who showed us all what it means to be human. After a tough loss, Caleb leapt into the stands to embrace his mother, sharing in the disappointment and pain of that moment. What should have been a powerful display of vulnerability and strength was met with a wave of criticism that I found both frustrating and frankly, appalling. For days and weeks, I listened as both local and national sports commentators dissected this heartfelt moment, suggesting that it might hurt his draft chances. They said he appeared weak, and that this would drop him in the rankings. This, my friends, is a symptom of a much larger issue we are facing—a national epidemic in men's physical and mental health. Our healthcare system, often unknowingly, has created an environment that is unfriendly to men and the way they seek help. Instead of using Caleb's moment as an opportunity to celebrate and rewrite the narrative around male vulnerability, the national media chose to reinforce the damaging stereotypes that continue to harm men worldwide. One sportscaster on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Massachusetts was particularly egregious, but calling out individuals isn't the solution. The damage has been done, and now it's up to us to change the conversation. We must embrace moments like Caleb's as signs of true strength, and work together to build a society that supports the mental and emotional well-being of all men. Let's strive to create a world where showing emotion is seen as a sign of courage, where seeking help is encouraged, and where every young man can grow up knowing that vulnerability is not a weakness, but a strength. #Men #MentalHealth #Trauma #MensHealth

Because they heard the patients needed a little extra support!" 😄 Humor has been shown to have therapeutic benefits, including reducing stress, enhancing rapport, and improving overall well-being. 🧠💼📚 This study highlights the significant role humor plays in promoting positive outcomes in therapy sessions.
