Yes, Elliot's back, I'm running it, and here's what you need to know:
1️⃣ Corporate: Elliot's owned by Drooler, with its prior entity dissolved (2017-2020), and brand and intellectual property purchased by a non-disclosed party.
2️⃣ "What is it?": Elliot's a super app, it's built on Ethereum, and enables anyone to send, and receive, messages and money; plus, buy, sell and ship, instantly, to anyone worldwide, 24/7/365.
3️⃣ Status: "Trojan Horsing it;" meaning, last year, Elliot launched a "homegrown" and proof-of-concept consumer-brand, Drooler, to validate it's pre-seed hypothesis: "Will businesses, consumers, and/or merchants buy and sell physical goods paying, and being paid out, exclusively in cryptocurrency?" — which we learned: 1. consumers are fine with it, 2. given incoming P2P and reseller tax legislation, they prefer it long term.
Digressing, when I say, “super app,” i mean the consolidation of:
🛍️ Commerce
💬 Communications
💰 Financial Services
In Asia, these are known as: Grab, Shopee, and Weixin/WeChat.
To-date, this “software category” has been unsuccessful in North America and Europe; because, attempts, thus far, have “asked the wrong questions”.
What does this mean?
Below are ideologies that I believe will impact category-defining and “platform-level” software:
👮♂️ Privacy: “Has 9/11, from a “security perspective”, worn off with consumers?” If so, “when do they (consumers) champion “getting their privacy back?”.
🇺🇸 Neo-nationalism: “Are countries just brands?” If so, at “what point in time do consumers begin to realize it?”
🌈 Value-based Countries: when does, “I’m Amazonian” mean “I live in an Amazon building and community” versus, “I’m from Brazil”?
Granted, I’m contrarian; however, the answers to these questions went into how I architected our go-to-market.
