At EMR, we understand the importance of working in collaboration with other industry leaders, academia and government - to share knowledge, develop ideas and progress, together. Earlier this month, we were thrilled to host our partners from the Re-Rewind project at our Central Engineering Facility. Re-Rewind is a revolutionary partnership, working to establish the UK's first circular supply chain for the rare earth magnets used in wind turbines, so that the UK's move to renewable energy can continue. Our partners from HyProMag Ltd, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Magnomatics Limited, and University of Birmingham all joined us to learn about handling high-strength magnets. The team took part in a mix of classroom-based learning and hands-on activities, before conducting a live demonstration of a controlled disassembly. #CircularEconomy #WindTurbines #MetalRecycling
