Eighteen team members from various departments took on the Viking Run as part of our Nijmegen, Netherlands location’s Wellbeing Week. This event, known for its rugged terrain and muddy obstacles, was an excellent team-building exercise.
Colleagues supported each other through the course, exemplifying teamwork by pulling each other out of the mud, showing perseverance and unity.
After the run, the team relaxed, reflected on the day and celebrated the strong bonds formed.
Cheers to the Nijmegen team!
🌊 Embracing Team Building and Bonding on the Beautiful Island of Schiermonnikoog!
Last weekend, our amazing team embarked on an unforgettable journey to the stunning Dutch island of Schiermonnikoog, where we embraced our core values: Openness, Impact, Courage, and Devotion. 🌟
The objective was clear: to foster stronger connections among team members from different departments while having a blast trying new activities together. And what better place to do this than on a picturesque island that feels like it's straight out of a storybook?
Our weekend adventure was nothing short of spectacular. We engaged in a wide range of activities, from archery to beach volleyball, and even power kiting!
The real magic, however, happened off the field. Spending quality time together outside the workplace allowed us to get to know each other on a more personal level. We discovered hidden talents, shared stories, and formed bonds that will undoubtedly strengthen our teamwork and collaboration back at the office. 🤝
A big shoutout to P&D, especially Mikolaj Polko, our organizing team for putting together this fantastic event, and to all our team members for their enthusiasm and spirit throughout the weekend. 🙌
In the end, it's not just about the activities we did, but the memories we created and the connections we deepened. Team bonding at its finest!

Thanks to LIN- Likestilling, Inkludering og Nettverk and Ellis Culture for such an amazing meeting. I had a great opportunity to dig deeper into the specifics of the job search process. I can surely say that Norwegians have a unique person-focused approach and values.
For those who want to find a job in Norway, it is important to understand that a person’s competencies and personality are on the same level. For Norwegians, it is important to know about you as a person, about your hobbies and ability to work in a team. A wonderful set of values, in my opinion.
What do you know about the peculiarities of Norwegian work culture?

Tomorrow, we are stepping away from our usual day-to-day activities to participate in a company sports day. This event is about far more than fun and games; such team away days play a crucial role in our success.
Teamwork Across Departments: Beyond our individual roles, these company away days encourage cross-team collaboration. By working together outside our usual projects, we are building stronger connections and enhancing communication. Better teamwork leads to better performance overall.
Welcoming New Faces: Over the past 12 months we have had a number of new employees join us. This sports day provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get better acquainted, strengthening our bonds.
Celebrating Hard Work: This day allows us to acknowledge our collective efforts. Recognising our accomplishments boosts motivation and morale, reminding us what we can achieve together.
Friendly Competition: A little healthy competition never hurt anyone! Whether it’s a tug-of-war or a relay race, friendly challenges can increase productivity and inject energy into our work.
These away days aren’t just about fun—they’re about building a stronger, resilient and more connected team. 🤝🏆🌟

In yesterday's town hall, our HR team (Denise Foz, Luigi Comia) initiated a fantastic activity, inviting everyone to dedicate just 10 minutes to publicly express appreciation for their colleagues through LinkedIn recommendations. Wondering why this emphasis on recognition? Well, apart from being a lens for future employers to see individual strengths, it's also a window into our team culture for potential future members.
Consider this: who wouldn't be drawn to a team where genuine appreciation is not just talked about but actively celebrated like at The Ortus Club - Executive Knowledge Sharing?
So, take a moment to highlight the brilliance of your colleagues and let the world (and potential future team members) know what makes working together so extraordinary. A simple recommendation can go a long way in showcasing the camaraderie and talent within our team.
And why yesterday, you might wonder? Well, because it coincided with Kindness Day, making it the perfect opportunity to extend the spirit of kindness by spotlighting the strengths and positive attributes of our colleagues. Let's transform our workplace into not just a productive hub but a community that values and uplifts one another. Spread the positivity on LinkedIn, and let's continue building a workplace culture that thrives on appreciation and collaboration! 🌟 Thanks for hosting, Gabriel Julio S. Santos!

How About…
Leveling Up Team Bonding with Friendly Competition?
An element I try to incorporate into all of my events is a little healthy (friendly) competition, as it can be the secret sauce to creating stronger connections.
Think about it: it gets everyone out of their comfort zones, pushing them to work together and have some fun in the process. It's like playing a board game with friends – everyone's giving it their all, cheering each other on (even if they secretly want to win!), and ultimately having a blast together.
Picture an offsite with your team competing in a scavenger hunt, company Olympics, sailing regatta, or even a miniature golf tournament where the friendly competition isn't about crushing the other team; it's about building camaraderie and celebrating each other's strengths. People discover hidden talents, bond over shared experiences, and learn to laugh together.
Recognize everyone's contributions, big or small, because at the end of the day, you're one team working towards a common goal. So next time you're planning a team bonding activity, embrace a little friendly competition! You'll be surprised at how much closer your team becomes, and how much more fun you have along the way. After all, a little playful competition can spark a whole lot of team spirit and lasting memories.
What are your favorite ways to incorporate friendly competition into your team bonding activities? Share your ideas in the comments!
