The RAXPRO ALERT fits around the lower rack upright, in a similar way to a buffer guard, however there any similarity ends!   An audible warning is given when a lift truck or its load makes contact with the ALERT, deterring the lift truck operator damaging the upright, reducing costly repair and disruption.   A smart version, the ALERT eN, provides a text message notifying a supervisor or other designated person of an incident, identifying lift truck, upright location, date and time. Whether you have one lift truck or many, the ALERT eN is a tool that enables you to have better visibility of potential impacts with rack uprights. “Wig wag” refers to a signalling system where an alternating flashing pattern is used to signal urgency and increase visibility. The term is derived from the historical form of flag signalling that passed messages by waving a single flag. Today, flashing yellow wig wag lights are used in a variety of situations to alert road users of danger or changes in conditions. They are used in permanent signs such as in advance of traffic signals or at pedestrian crossings, and are also used on vehicles such as emergency services and traffic management vehicles.

October is Pedestrian Safety Month In 2022, across the United States, there were 7,522 pedestrian fatalities. In Georgia alone, there were 342. As a traffic engineer with an emphasis in safety these statistics are way too high and we all need to do our part to reach the ultimate goal of zero. The graphic below outlines some tips to remember as a pedestrian. As a motorist, it is also important to drive alert and be aware of the presence of pedestrians at all times particularly in school zones and downtown areas. Maintaining a big rig is not a simple, quick, or cheap task. For one thing, the number of tyres is in the double figures! 🚚🚚🚚 Makes it easy to excuse falling behind on maintenance and compliance, right? Can electronic warnings improve road safety for motorcyclists? C-ITS systems (Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems) that warn a motorcyclist of an upcoming danger only work if the rider is interpreting the warning correctly and reacts accordingly. GNR TOWING TROLLEY It is designed to move the train by the force applied from the drive through the traction rope. To extend (shorten) the closed traction rope when increasing (shortening) the length of the GNR road, a drum for spare traction rope is installed on the towing trolley. The driver in the cab can send commands to the drive using the baton and, if necessary, releasing the cable in the upper part of the cab to activate the braking trolley in case of emergency. To hold the train in case of coupling breakage or spontaneous uncoupling of freight cars, a counter coupler is applied.
