Did you know the outside of the nozzle cap is designed to control the flow of shield gases? The shield gas control has two main functions: 1️⃣ to further restrict the arc as it exits the torch head, allowing for a much greater cut. 2️⃣ to act as a cooling agent at the end of the cut. We reviewed this aftermarket nozzle cap and found several failure points… 1️⃣ multiple shield gas rings were loose and not properly sealed. 2️⃣ the design of the nozzle cap created unwanted vortexes in the shield gas, allowing for the possibility of poor-quality cuts. 3️⃣ the threads of the nozzle cap did not always line up with the Kjellberg torch head due to inferior-quality machining. All parts cryogenically treated only need Cryo'd once. Our process will increase the performance on any part with a wear-life. It's a complete stress relief process that may have been built up in the manufacturing, machining and heat treat process. Our Cryogenic process decreases the brittleness on parts with 1 permanent treatment.
