I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) reposted this
Posting this a bit late, but my professional journey at I-PAC (Indian Political Action Committee) has come to an end. As a fresher, entering the workforce seemed daunting, especially a dynamic one at that, but after spending 3 years at the organisation, I am glad to have explored the world of political consulting. Experiencing elections at the municipality, panchayat, State and General election levels, it was absolutely thrilling to contribute to the political and governance landscape of West Bengal and various states in the North East. I had never imagined that the research and insights I provide would be tabled in Parliament, spoken aloud in public meetings by key leaders, or be printed as a culmination of visionary promises for the people. When I first joined the organisation, I remember my manager had told me that this is a place where if you work hard and are eager to learn more, you will find recognition soon irrespective of your age. I’d say this holds very true. I will always be grateful to Chandrima Biswas for her constant guidance and support. I am also very grateful to Mr Pratik Jain for all the learning opportunities, entrusting me with important duties at a young age. I-PAC is a place where one must wear many caps! Although I primarily headed the Strategic Research and Insights team, I got the opportunity to diversify my skills through multiple functional roles, from campaign to digital communications and collaboration across verticals. Therefore, my one advice to anyone eager to join political consulting ─ always be open to learning and exploring more and more, irrespective of where you come from, or the background you might possess!
