🌍✨ This week, from October 7 to 10, the #SPIE Laser Damage event took place, uniting scientists, engineers, and manufacturers from around the globe to explore advancements in laser damage testing. Over the years it remains a key place for fostering collaboration and innovation in our field. 🤝🎉 LIDARIS is honored to be part of this significant gathering as a sponsor and contributor to the Laser Damage Competition, organized by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Companies from around the world submitted their optical elements for a double-blind assessment, showcasing their commitment to advancing technology in this critical area. 📊🏆 At LIDARIS, we performed Laser-Induced Damage Threshold (#LIDT) testing. This year’s competition specifically focused on highly reflective (HR) mirrors, providing crucial insights into how factors like coating materials, design, and deposition methods impact #LIDT in the #femtosecond pulse regime: 1030 nm, 200 fs, 500 kHz, and 0° AOI. A preview of testing at a different repetition rate (500 Hz) will also be discussed. Samples were tested using the reliable femtosecond #Pharos PH2-20-SP laser developed by Light Conversion 📢🔬 As we celebrate the unveiling of results at SPIE, we invite anyone interested in testing their optics post-competition to reach out to us at www.lidaris.com ✨ Stay tuned for the results, and let’s continue to push the boundaries of laser damage research together! #SPIELaserDamage #LIDT #Lidaris #laserdamage
