Title: Remote work and it's impact on staffing agency operations Remote work has become a prominent trend in today's workforce, with many companies opting for decentralized operations. This shift to remote work has significantly impacted staffing agency operations in various ways. One major impact is the increased demand for remote positions. Staffing agencies are now tasked with matching candidates to roles that allow for telecommuting, which requires a different approach to sourcing and screening candidates. Additionally, the geographical barriers have been blurred, allowing agencies to tap into a larger pool of talent from around the world. On the other hand, remote work has also presented challenges for staffing agencies, such as ensuring effective communication between candidates and clients, managing remote teams, and addressing issues related to work-life balance and productivity. Overall, remote work has reshaped the staffing agency landscape, requiring them to adapt their strategies and processes to meet the changing demands of both candidates and clients in the new era of remote work.

Looking for a fully remote job? Great! Do fully remote jobs exist in 2024? Kind of... This may shatter some expectations of the job market but it seems "Return to Work" has "Returned to Stay." Obviously, I can't speak for every industry. At present, less than 5% of finance and accounting jobs that cross my team's desk are fully remote. That means out of 100 available positions, less than 5 are fully remote. By the way, guess which jobs gets the most applications? Yep, the remote ones. So now you're competing against MORE candidates with LESS opportunities. This can be demoralizing when you've idolized the work from home boom we've seen over the past 4 years. But it's not all doom and gloom! Hybrid schedules are the new gold rush and if you get in now, you have a chance to land an amazing career with a very flexible work/life arrangement. The most popular hybrid setup is 2-3 days in-office per week. If all the other stars align for a job, don't write it off because it's not fully remote. You might be first in line for an interview. What trends have you noticed in the job market over the past few years? P.S. Be wary of 4 days per week in-office schedules. This can lead to those wonderful "We're going to need you to come in on Fridays, too..." conversations, so be sure to ask questions about anticipated changes to the schedule or arrangement.

**How I got fired from a remote job (before the remote work even began)** They promised me a 100% fully remote job. With 1 condition: Work 1 month in the office before you take off. (Because it’s easier to train you AFK). I happily said yes. I worked my ass off for the company. I worked 9-7 every day for 30+ days. I delivered everything on time: Premium high-quality newsletters, landing pages, and content. On the 31st day, I was called to the office. “There’s a management change. 🧐 We are not a remote-culture-oriented company anymore.” 😳 We can’t afford you to work remotely. 😱 We’re gonna have to let you go.” 🥺 I was fired from a remote job >> Before the actual part of working remotely even began. I consider myself lucky; This could’ve been much worse if I was married with children. As a single man, I just told them to f*ck off. I sold everything, finished my contract, and booked a 1-way ticket to Bansko. 🇧🇬 I’m a full-time solopreneur now, and I’m never looking back. --- **If you’re looking for a remote work, understand this:** Finding a remote job isn’t enough. You’re still working in a job. You’re still an employee. You still have a boss and management who put their personal interests above you. You can always be fired at any given moment and without warning. Even if you’re “so good they can’t ignore you.” Your employer can call you back to the office at any given moment, no matter where you are in the world. (I dated a Russian woman who had to leave everything and head back to Moscow in the freezing cold of February.) Working remotely, you don’t have full autonomy, flexibility, or control over your life. They can take away your freedom with one decision. If you wanna take back control over your life, increase your freedom >> You have to start your own business. A business YOU run, by yourself, for yourself, with yourself. A business around something you’re good at (zone of excellence \ genius). There’s no way around it. Start your business today. ---------------- 🔔 Follow Sharon Zaks → posts weekdays at 9 am EEST. ♻️ Repost if you find this useful! → help others be productive and gain inspiration 🫶🏼🙏 --------------

https://lnkd.in/ea3AgBsA This relates to my previous post. Every day I have people reaching out to me seeking remote jobs, and I can’t help the majority of them simply due to supply and demand. The number of people wanting remote jobs vastly outstrips their availability. By and large - the people who are able to land remote jobs in this market fit a certain profile: they’re top performers in their fields who are able to work independently without much supervision; they don’t manage many entry-level folks (since early-career employees often benefit from face-to-face with their supervisors), and they often have a unique industry specialization or skill. Most companies that post remote jobs don’t have trouble finding applicants for them, which means that most of the time when a firm like District Partners is engaged on remote opportunities it is due to that third criteria. Our client is usually getting a ton of applicants - but none that actually entice them or fit the unique mold of candidate they're looking for. If you want remote work in this market, you need to stand out. Something needs to differentiate you from the hundreds of other applicants. Remote hiring managers - I’m curious, in a sea of applicants, what makes a candidate stand out to you?

I figured out a few advantage of Remote Job and I wanna share it with y'all. Remote jobs offer numerous advantages that benefit both employees and employers. They provide flexibility, allowing individuals to work from anywhere, whether it's from home, a coffee shop, or a co-working space. This flexibility can lead to increased productivity, as employees can work during their most productive hours and in environments where they feel comfortable and motivated. Remote jobs also help reduce stress and improve work-life balance. Commuting to a traditional office can be time-consuming and stressful, but remote work eliminates this daily commute, allowing employees to spend more time with their families or pursuing hobbies and interests outside of work. Additionally, remote jobs can lead to cost savings for both employees and employers. Employees save money on transportation, work attire, and meals, while employers can save on office space and utilities. Overall, remote jobs offer a more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective way of working, benefiting both individuals and businesses alike.
