We are excited to share that our colleague Dr. Angelika K. Layr has been invited to speak at the prestigious Chain Reaction by FARI Solutions event in Baku, Azerbaijan! 🌍 Angelika had the honor of contributing to the panel discussion on “Innovation as a Culture”, where she shared insights from a Liechtenstein perspective alongside prominent tech leaders such as Inara Valiyeva from the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, Azerbaijan, Dr. Salim Al-Shuaili, Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technologies Unit, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology - Oman, and Gergo Szoke from Apraemio. Some of the key takeaways include: 🔹 Innovation is a continuous process that needs to be embedded in the values, structures, and practices of an organization. 🔹 Innovation policy should support activities while balancing the benefits and risks of new technologies. 🔹 Collaboration between industry, academia and the public sector is essential. 🔹 A culture of experimentation and learning, fostered by sandboxes and small-scale initiatives, is critical for driving innovation. 🔹 International collaboration is a vital component to reach global standards. A heartfelt thank you to Shafiq Amiri for inviting us to this outstanding event. We are eager to continue shaping the future of innovation and promoting the spirit of collaboration! #InnovationAsACulture #ChainReaction2024 #SFID #Innovation #TechPanel #Digitalisation

🌐 This week, ERRIN’s #ICTWG hosted an event focusing on the support provided by European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) to public authorities. 🔎 With different initiatives presented, including the VNG Realisatie and the Dutch Societal Innovation Hub, the Best DIH Interreg project, EDIH GreenPowerIT Hauts-de-France, Digital Innovation Zone EDIH and European Digital Innovation Hub Thuringia, we explored the importance of EDIHs in the digital innovation ecosystems at regional and local level. 🔹The 151 EDIHs benefit from the extensive support of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) and the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network, which offer a range of services. These include the EDIH Network online portal, a comprehensive Knowledge Hub, 11 thematic Working Groups, and a helpdesk serving as the primary contact point for the EDIH Network, providing on-demand guidance and support. 📢 Malgorzata Nokowska, Head of Unit for Digital Transformation of Industrial Ecosystems announced new Digital Europe calls in 2025 to select additional EDIHs in Europe and associated countries. Alongside with Johan Stake from the JRC, the speakers provided a comprehensive overview of how EDIHs are advancing the goals of the Digital Decade. 🔸Currently, EDIHs primarily assist SMEs and mid-cap companies, which account for 90% of their support, leaving only 10% directed towards public authorities. Significant efforts are still required to achieve digital transformation for public authorities and bridge the digital divide in the EU, and we strongly believe that regional authorities can play an important role in this process. 👉 ERRIN members willing to know more can access the presentations here: https://lnkd.in/eQAjwpbF 👉 Learn more about ERRIN #ICTWG here: https://lnkd.in/e_pij-Bu
