AI is an incredibly powerful tool for design exploration - but not by replacing you as a designer! Yesterday, I decided to visualize a project for our Instagram account. However, after doing some test renders, I wasn't satisfied with the result. So, I exported a low-quality output from VISOID and opened Photoshop. I made some quick, low-quality changes to the image to improve the visual balance of the design and added a cladding texture. Then, I put the edited image back into Visoid, which rendered the low-quality collage into a coherent image. It even added the missing metal railing on the roof edge and allowed me to change the middle window divider into wooden cladding. The whole process took me less than half an hour. Even though it wasn't a real use case, it demonstrates the flexibility and capability of these tools. Just imagine quickly drafting design alternatives for your clients, experimenting with different windows and materials without duplicating 3D models or setting up a myriad of layers that you'll never use again and just clutter your 3D file. As I always say, don't look at AI tools as a one-click solution - integrate them into your workflows to increase your efficiency and expand your design horizon. What's your take?
