Most colleges teaching civil engineering today (especially TTI's) don't have the necessary equipment to produce fully baked engineers. Due to that reason, many of us graduate college without knowledge of what to expect. Plus some units are taught as if they are optional. Like in the school I was at,if you did not own a personal computer, auto CAD ilikupita hivo. Now due to this reasons, not mentioning being taught by unqualified teachers, engineers out here should accept us and show us how to be engineers. Imagine someone is out of college and knows nothing and they got no connections, they end up wasting college years by being employed in small town hotels, mtumba shops or become makanga, not that it's bad,we are just surviving. I think they should designate schools to teach engineering or have a way to control the number of engineers. I am speaking on behalf of those who have no connections or people in high places. Out of the 47 I was with in class, only 10 are in engineering jobs, and 8 of them had godfathers. How I wish we all narrate our success stories someday. Good morning.

Congratulations to Our Students for Securing 1st Position in the Punjab Skills Competition 2024! We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our students, who have achieved a prestigious 1st place at the Punjab State Level Competition, organized by the Punjab Skill Development Mission. Competitions like these are vital as they highlight the importance of practical skills in shaping the future of industries and infrastructure. Civil engineering, as a discipline, plays a significant role in fostering the technical expertise and problem-solving abilities essential for success in such competitions. The principles of civil engineering — from material knowledge to design thinking and structural analysis — lay the foundation for innovations in fields like construction, manufacturing, and design. These competitions not only push students to excel in their chosen skills but also allow them to implement practical knowledge, much like real-world engineering challenges. The School of Civil Engineering takes immense pride in guiding students toward their goals, merging classroom theory with hands-on experiences. This achievement is a testament to the versatility of civil engineering education, where students not only build infrastructure but also excel in competitions that require precision, creativity, and craftsmanship. Keep inspiring us with your dedication! #LovelyProfessionalUniversity #CivilEngineering #BestUniversity
