Watch Marcus Shortall, Sustainability Project Manager at Musgrave and Paul Farley Managing Director of Drumully Boxty share their experiences of Business in the Community Ireland's All-Ireland Climate Action Programme for SMEs. With the support of Musgrave, a key partner with us in the programme, Drumully Boxty has taken meaningful steps toward improving their sustainability and exploring renewable energy and water harvesting. This initiative has not only better equipped Drumully Boxty to address critical questions about its carbon footprint but also decreased their outgoings too.  Overall, the programme showed how powerful supply chain decarbonisation can be when we come together. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐱 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐇𝐏𝐀) has unveiled a 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒-𝟐𝟎𝟑𝟎, framed by the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐖𝐏𝐒𝐏). The strategy aims to reduce safety incident impacts, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance local wildlife ecosystems around 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐱 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫. Incorporating six key themes—community building, health, safety and security, digitalization, infrastructure, climate and energy, and environmental care—the strategy builds on 𝐇𝐏𝐀’s sustainability policy and will be detailed in a forthcoming 2022-2023 sustainability report. 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞 emphasized the collaborative development process and commitment to regular progress reports. Net Zero Industry in South West Wales – Launchpad This Launchpad is dedicated to the pursuit of sustainable solutions in the realm of Net Zero industrial emissions. Innovate UK is partnering on this Launchpad with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government. A new pot of up to £1 million for innovative projects in parts of the South Wales Industrial Cluster funding competition opened on 4 November and will close on 11 December 2024.
