This new sorting line has significantly improved construction and demolition waste processing in Latvia. ✅ CleanR Verso (CleanR Grupa) collaborated with Azortum to develop this line, which now efficiently processes 25 tonnes of heavy-duty waste every hour. The project overcame challenges like installing in harsh winter conditions without cover and designing durable conveyor systems for heavy loads. We also opted for a shredder-less system to improve energy efficiency and output quality. Read more about how we tackled these challenges in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/dfdYw6Xz #wastesorting #recycling #wastemanagement

🌍 Happy Earth Day! 🌿 Today, as we celebrate our planet, it's the perfect moment to spotlight how innovation in technology can lead to more sustainable practices. At Viggo Boats, launching the C11 Cruiser reflects our dedication to eco-friendly innovation. The C11 focuses on minimizing energy consumption with its innovative hull design and a variety of energy-efficient drivelines. Durability and Longevity: Our choice of aluminum for the C11 ensures that each vessel is durable and can withstand marine environments, lasting longer and reducing the need for frequent replacements. Fully Recyclable Material: Aluminum is crucial to our environmental goals because of its recyclability. At the end of its lifecycle, the C11's aluminum structure can be completely recycled, contributing to a circular economy. Energy Efficiency: Although producing aluminum is initially energy-intensive, the recycling process uses only about 5% of that energy. This efficiency is a key part of our commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Reduction of Fossil Fuels and Plastics: By building the C11 Cruiser with aluminum, we actively minimize the use of materials derived from fossil fuels, such as plastics and fiberglass. This approach supports cleaner oceans and sets an industry standard for reducing environmental pollutants. Future-Ready Modular Systems: We've equipped the C11 with a modular driveline system to easily adapt to future sustainable propulsion technologies. This design ensures that our boats remain compatible with technological advancements, aligning with our sustainability goals. Let's keep pushing for sustainable practices in the boating industry. Together, we can make a significant impact on marine conservation and pave the way for a greener future. Want to learn more? Can recycled construction materials help to tackle climate change? 🌍 At neustark, we believe they can. By capturing and storing biogenic #CO2 in mineral waste materials such as recycled concrete, we’re turning the construction industry into a powerful force for concrete (😉) #climateaction. 🌱 Today, we’re shining a spotlight on our material box solution. It's already up and running at one #recycling site, with more systems on the way. Want to see how it works? Swipe through 👇🏼 to see how our solution can be integrated into your current operations. 🏗️ Möckli Beton AG was not only the first to adopt this innovative solution, but also the first to break the CO2 removal record (200 tons removed in the first three months of operation!). 🚀 So, do you want to turn your recycling material into a carbon sink and challenge this record? neustark offers the #technology and scalable solutions to meet your needs. Kudos... this is a welcome addition to the growing array of technical and hybrid Carbon Dioxide Removal solutions that will be needed to remove and sequester more than 20 billion tons of CO2 a year from the atmosphere to balance out global CO2 emissions. See: https://www.cdr.fyi/ Today’s approaches can capture only a tiny fraction of what’s needed: around 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide annually, according to one recent study. Nearly all of this removal is accomplished through longstanding, nature-based strategies such as replanting forests, rather than via advanced technologies. Humanity emits a staggering 35 billion tons CO2 into Earth's atmosphere each year, of which roughly half of tha is soaked up by nature when it moves carbon dioxide into the ocean, plants, soils, and other natural “carbon sinks” and that only counts for current emissions. To return earth to the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide in 1988, humans would need to remove more than 500 billion tons. To get the atmosphere back to where it was before humans began to burn fossil fuels would mean catching and storing more than 900 billion tons.
CarbonFree is excited to announce the launch of endurocal™, the world’s first zero-carbon mineral. It is designed to replace conventional calcium carbonate in a wide range of commercial products and manufacturing processes, including plastics, paints, and paper. endurocal™, represents a breakthrough in the recycled use of carbon dioxide, providing a cost-effective path for manufacturing competitiveness using emissions that would otherwise go to waste.
