It’s cold and rainy today and Ribollita, the traditional Tuscan bread soup simply sounded divine. Did you know that this traditional Tuscan dish can be kapha balancing this time of year? Ribollita is typically made with seasonal vegetables like kale, beans, tomatoes, and onions, which benefit Kapha dosha. These ingredients are light and easy to digest, helping to balance the heaviness often associated with Kapha. And the use of fresh herbs and spices in Ribollita, such as thyme, and bay leaves, helps to stimulate digestion and reduce any potential Kapha imbalance. These aromatic ingredients also add flavor without adding excess heaviness to the dish. This dish often includes stale bread that is added to the soup to thicken it. Whole grain bread can provide fiber and help stabilize blood sugar levels, which is important for Kapha balance. Message me for the recipe. Happy to share. #mytuscanayurvedickitchen

National Brandied Fruit Day is celebrated on October 20 each year. Brandied fruit is the perfect snack for those who want something spicy along with the delicious sweetness of fruits. You get your fill of alcohol as well as the healthy nutrients of fruits. What’s not to love? Wine is distilled to get brandy, then once the spirit is ready, sugar, spices, and fruits are added to it and heated. This mixture is then stored in a container and preserved for a while before it is ready to be eaten. The fruit of one’s labor is indeed sweet with this treat. https://lnkd.in/eBD-a9jm

🍇🍊 Wine aromas fall into three primary categories: ✅ Primary Aromas: Derived from the grape varieties and include fruits, flowers, and herbs. ✅ Secondary Aromas: Created during fermentation and include yeast-derived scents like bread dough or cheese. ✅ Tertiary Aromas: Develop with aging, either in bottle or oak, bringing notes of vanilla, spices, or nuts. #wineducator #wset #winearomas
