Since its launch four years ago, 5G Ride has been at the forefront of transforming public transport. Today, the project unites a diverse consortium of organizations, including partners from telecom, automotive, AI, academia, and public transport operations. Public transport have typically quite a hierarchical structure with some stations being much more 'important' than others. The advent of advanced technologies has revolutionized various aspects of our lives, and transportation is no exception. One groundbreaking development in this field is Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication. These technologies enable vehicles to exchange information with each other and with roadside infrastructure, leading to significant advancements in road safety, traffic management, and overall driving experience.

The beauty of public transport when compared to point to point services like 3Whs/ taxis is that an extra PT line/route will have a multiplier effect on the service coverage while an extra taxi only leads to the service the extra vehicle provides. There's enough science on how networks function best which can inform our route planning decisions. Need much more work on this topic in India!
