International #RailFreight and #Multimodal Summit 2024 in Zhengzhou, China The developmet of Trans-Caspian International #Transport_Corridor (TITR), construction and cooperation of the countries and operators along the corridor has become one of the most important topics in the branch, so as the optimizing Eurasian trade and #logistics services in response to #supplychain disruptions. By the end of 2023, more than 82,000 train trips have been operated and 7.9 million TEUs transported. The routes reachs 217 cities in 25 European countries. In 2020, Zhengzhou was approved as one of the first 5 assembly centers for Eurasian #rail freight in China. After we pointed out last year that Stena Line has an appetite to become active in the Strait of Gibraltar, this is now the first solid step. It will be exciting to see how two of the largest Northern European RoPax shipping companies successfully establish themselves in the growing market with completely different mechanisms than those known from Northern Europe. The business is not a one-on-one business and it is very demanding due to the tenders on both sides in Spain as well as in Morocco. Every organization is much more challenged here than in other short ferry operating areas, especially during the OPE and Ramadan! Its geographical position makes it a natural gateway for trade between these regions, facilitating the transportation of goods across various modes of transport. During my business trip to Uzbekistan, I had the pleasure of meeting with Otabek Buribekov, Tashkent Branch Manager, and his team. Together, we emphasized the importance of Uzbekistan for AsstrA's business and its significance in the field of international logistics. It was a valuable opportunity to meet our partners in person, as face-to-face interaction can never fully replace online formats. During our meetings, we discussed the outcomes of our collaborations, analyzed complex cases and situations, and identified directions for the region's development.
