The first thing you should always remember as a receptionist, front desk administrative assistant, etc... how you greet the patient, customer, guest is going to dictate how their entire visit will be. YOU are the face of the company. We all have bad days but as a front desk person you have to leave that at the door and put a smile on your face, treat people as you would like to be treated and remember to BE KIND, you don't know what that person's life is like outside of the few minutes you speak to them. Here's why: let's look at their responsibilities: Receptionist: First Point of Contact: When guests arrive, the receptionist greets them, checks them in according to their reservation, assigns rooms, and provides room keys. Information Hub: The receptionist conveys essential details, such as breakfast timings and gym locations. 24/7 Availability: In most hotels, the front desk operates around the clock, so guests can call anytime for information or assistance. Administrative Tasks: The receptionist handles check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries. Bellboy: Luggage Handling: Bellboys help guests with their bags, escorting them to their rooms ( in Golden Palace Hotel the receptionist who plays the role of supporter does that). Guest Services: They provide information about the hotel, amenities, and services. Message Delivery: Bellboys deliver messages and packages to guests. Transportation Arrangements: They arrange transportation for guests. Focused on Luggage: Their primary duty revolves around handling luggage and providing general support.
