𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵. I am a strong believer in one to one coaching. I have found a designated time to be the most effective way of connecting and learning what is really happening in their world. The leader is 100% locked in to the coachee. The leader stays curious and askes open-ended questions. Here is a Model that may prove to helpful as you coach—referred to as the GROW Model: 𝗚𝗢𝗔𝗟- Here you intend to learn what it is the person wants to achieve. In your questioning, you are getting clarity on the desired outcome. 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬- Here you need to know what is currently going on. What could get in the way? What has prevented the goal from being accomplished up to this point? 𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦- Here you will ask questions and help them determine all the possible solutions and options. Always ask open-ended questions. They do the work. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧- Here you determine what they are willing to commit to. What are the next steps? I have used this process for years now and have shared it with others in my coaching program. I encourage you to GROW with the GROW Model. Try it out. Also, please check out my latest book—MAKE TODAY YOUR MASTERPIECE. Where you will find brief nuggets on added value to people as your grow in your leadership. Find it here- www.bobfashano.com.

Have you experienced the positive power of professional coaching? A client shared this week that they wouldn't have their dream 6 fig role without my coaching. Many of my clients say that my coaching has been the most positively impactful thing they have done for their professional development and most negotiate the inclusion of my coaching into their support package. Imposter Syndrome can rear its head when the level of challenge you are facing outstrips the level of support. Weak leadership can happen when there is no one willing to hold you to account, challenge your preconceptions and push you to work outside of your comfort zone. I work with leaders of technical and professional services departments. DM me if you'd like to explore coaching

Someone once asked Carl Jung, "How do you discover the shadow?" His response was, "How do you discover the dragon that swallowed you?" We are just in it and self-inquiry is the process of understanding deeper layers of what we are already in. The human journey is an arch from the unconscious infantile state of being merged to the individuated conscious self. There are many theories and entry points toward our development in this journey. In Coaching Hidden Dimensions we focus on potential not pathology, on silent empathetic listening not fixing and on the gold of integration not overcoming or managing in development. It hit me during a coaching session. My client, a brilliant CEO, was stuck. Sales were up, but the team? Disengaged. “I have done everything,” he said. “Why isn’t this working?” That’s when I asked: “What’s your biggest priority right now?” He listed goals: revenue, market share, expansion. All his goals. I paused and asked again. “But what about them? What are their goals?” Silence. That moment changed him and me. I realized that coaching and leadership are not about being the smartest person in the room. They’re about being the one who listens. Who cares. Who puts the spotlight on others. When I started focusing on them, my coaching transformed. Instead of fixing problems, I enabled solutions. Instead of giving advice, I sparked ideas. And it works for leadership, too. Your team doesn’t need your vision alone. They need you to bring out theirs. So, here’s a question for you: In your next conversation, will you make it about you? Or will you make it about them? 💡 Focus on them, and watch how everything changes. 👉 Share your thoughts below how do you enable others?

Coaching has always been difficult for me. I learned about coaching early in my career working with athletes. It was very prescriptive. A lot of "telling" and short term success. I learned quickly that if you want long term change, the person making the change needs to feel empowered and part of the decision making process. This means - Don't tell them what to do. And that's where it's hard. What if I know exactly what they need to do? What if I can fix this really quickly and easily by just telling them what to do? What I see their problem and I have the solution? What if I've been in their shoes before and I can just tell them to do what I did? What' if I'm the expert and they aren't and I can tell them what they need to know? NONE of this is coaching. Coaching empowers people. It creates long term sustainable change. It creates true authentic connection and yes...it often takes more time and energy and it requires us to stay quiet, listen intentionally and know how to ask the right questions. Today I'm creating space for healthcare leaders to understand the inner work necessary for leaders to be successful coaches. Energy, connection and courage at work. #vidlwork

The biggest block that we overcome in coaching is shame. I know, it’s not a pretty word, but it’s the one thing that keeps you hiding and sabotaging your own success. Most people don’t see it as shame. It shows up as procrastination or playing small. But the real reason you’re not where you’re want to be yet is because there’s a part of you that doesn’t believe you’re worthy. In our coaching together, we get to the root of this. We help you see yourself as the worthy and powerful creator that you are. We align your identity with your true gifts and strengths. As we approach the end of 2024, I would invite you to consider what momentum you want the coming year to hold for you. Will 2025 be a year of growth and success or another year that you look back on that maintains the status-quo? If you’re ready to stop hiding so you can intentionally create your life and be able to follow through on the vision you hold in your heart, life and leadership coaching may be for you. If this resonates, I’d love to chat with you on a discovery call that you can book here: https://lnkd.in/gQCMUvai

Are your leaders still relying on the skills that made them successful 5 years ago? Do they find it hard to constantly evolve and adapt to change? Do they need to further develop their skills to be truly successful when faced by new challenges? If the answer it any of the above questions is yes, the phrase below may well be applicable. Marshall’s book was a huge bestseller when it first came out and has been updated since. Constantly evolving skills, and not over relying on some strengths is something that we work on in coaching, and it’s amazing what a difference that can make to a leader and the success of their team. If you’d like to have a confidential chat about any of your leaders and how coaching can help, you can book a free call with me: https://lnkd.in/eVs5MrUF

Coaching can feel like business therapy but it’s not about venting- it’s about evolving. When faced with challenges at work, you might complain to a friend, analyze with a therapist how you got there, or spiral in solitude. Imagine one of my manager clients, who is frustrated by a disengaged team. To a friend, she might say, “No one cares about the work anymore- it’s exhausting!” In therapy, she might explore how past dynamics shape her leadership style. Alone, she might ruminate, “What am I doing wrong?” A coach helps shift the lens. Instead of lingering in frustration or the past, I might ask, “What kind of team do you want to lead? What small actions could shift the dynamic?” Coaching transforms the challenge into a future-focused opportunity, sparking clarity and progress. Coaching is where self-awareness becomes action, and insight drives forward momentum. The goal isn’t just understanding your challenges; it’s actively shaping your path forward. Coaching can move you from processing to progressing.
