India's agricultural powerhouse just got a significant boost! 🌾 As part of our 5-year supply agreement with INDIAN POTASH LIMITED (IPL), the largest potash importer in India, we are proud to announce the supply of 420,000 metric tons of potash, amounting to a total value of about $120 million, to fuel the nation's farming sector. With a commitment to deliver the total amount by the end of 2024, this deal reaffirms our partnership with IPL and our dedication to empowering India's farmers with the essential nutrients they need for sustainable growth. Hi, I’m João Nóbrega and I work at the ICL Brazil Sao Paulo (SJdC) site as a Production and Continuous Improvement Engineer. I joined ICL in 2018 as an Engineering Intern, became a Production Analyst in 2019, and by 2020, I was a Production Engineer. In my role, I bridge the gap between production planning and the shop floor, ensuring alignment and efficiency in packaging and blending, as well as package development while collaborating with suppliers to innovate new specs. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, I lead our Operational Excellence program, working closely with supervisors and managers through best practices like 5S - Sort (Seiri), Set in Order (Seiton), Shine (Seiso), Standardize (Seiketsu), and Sustain (Shitsuke), performance management, and standard work. One of my proudest moments was during the Operational Excellence Americas Conference in 2023, where we presented our unique strategy for SJdC. Unlike other sites, we focus more complex techniques like Kaizen and standardization. Outside of work, my hobbies have evolved. I enjoy playing offline management video games, like building a football team or creating a city. I also value spending time with friends and family.
