5 weeks…… In just 5 weeks I’ll be running The ASK Workshop. Assessing Suicide in Kids. What we know is that children as young as 4 can think about ending their life, for all sorts of reasons. We also know that those children can grow to be teens who move towards suicide behaviour. They can become children who die by suicide. If you work with children & young people, in any capacity…. Have you booked your place? https://lnkd.in/ebnDEFfH

I feel a deep sense of sadness and compassion for the innocent HUMAN BEINGS enduring such unjust mental and physical suffering. It truly moves me to tears. The harsh realities faced by INNOCENT children should weigh heavily on the hearts and minds of ANYONE with children, anyone closely connected to a child, or anyone who recognizes the innocence of or is concerned for the well-being of children in any capacity. The very idea of these young souls experiencing such pain is truly heartbreaking and should evoke a strong wave of compassion and sorrow within us all. Politics aside, let’s pause for a moment to consider how we would feel if it were our child, grandchild, niece, or nephew facing such trauma. Imagine your children's heartache if their brother or sister were facing this fate. Based on the world’s present state of affairs, today, this calamity is being suffered by someone else's child, but tomorrow, it very well could be yours. The heartbreaking stories of human suffering should deeply touch us all. Learning about these injustices should inspire a deep sense of empathy and sorrow. Understanding the reality of these heartbreaking atrocities serves as a powerful reminder of our humanitarian responsibilities. We should not just stand by and allow others to be mistreated. We share a profound obligation to stand up for those who are most vulnerable, particularly those who cannot defend themselves. It is our responsibility to create a world that feels safe and nurturing for everyone. If you see something, do SOMETHING. While I acknowledge that politics often influence these situations, we must never lose sight of the fundamental truth: it is absolutely unacceptable for one person to deliberately and maliciously inflict mental or physical pain on another. Even amid unrest, it is a travesty when innocent lives—be they men, women, children, the elderly, or those with disabilities—suffer at the hands of another. These unjust measures transcend political boundaries. This is illegal, inhumane, and a grave miscarriage of justice. Father, God, please have mercy on the unjustly prosecuted and mend the hearts and minds of the prosecutors. “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40 https://lnkd.in/gP38Mf6A

Outrage and sorrow overwhelm me as I grapple with the devastating news of what happened at Karol Bagh. 💔 My heart goes out to the families, friends, and loved ones of the students who tragically lost their lives due to drowning at Rau’s Academy in Karol Bagh. The news is depressing, and I can only imagine the unbearable pain and grief that those closest to them must be feeling. This preventable tragedy is a stark indictment of the academy's negligence and the government's inaction. I can only imagine the dreams, aspirations, and hopes that these students had for their future. Their potential, cut short in such a tragic manner, is a loss not just for their loved ones but for our entire community. How could this have happened? Where were the safety protocols? Why were emergency measures not in place? The academy's failure to ensure a secure environment for its students is unacceptable. Moreover, the government's lack of oversight and enforcement of safety standards in educational institutions is a dereliction of duty. How many more lives must be lost before we see meaningful action? We demand answers and accountability from Rau Academy and the government. This tragedy must serve as a wake-up call for immediate reform. #LinkedInCommunity #JusticeForStudents #UPSC #LinkedInFamily
