This is actually my first post on LinkedIn but what lies ahead of me is a great opportunity to look back on the past.
As a failed student from university and after several blue collar experiences, I felt like I had to find a way to go back to school to learn, practice and emancipate from what I was stuck into.
This is where I met MediaSchool Bruxelles - ECS et SupDeWeb , which allowed me to find my way thanks to loads of interesting classes, lectured by passionate experts on their own fields which gave me hints on what a real job would feel like, practically, and not only through theorical or abstract concepts.
Moreover, during thoses years, I had several internships in different sectors, emphasizing the practical aspect of what I would end up doing as a professional. Don't hear me wrong though, I'm not saying that university is boring or worthless, only it was not meant to me at that time.
During my digital communication master, I met Philippe Deltenre who actually introduced me to digital buying and to what programmatic buying was. Buyers bidding each other in real-time to deliver the right message, at the right time to the right people. Even though I firstly pictured it more like a mix of stocks exchanges sellers and livestock cattle auctioneer (you should check those contests on youtube by the way) for a rookie I was at this time, it definetely triggered my interest to a point I wanted to start my internship in such department.
This is where I met IPG Mediabrands Belgium and where everything started, more than 7 years ago.
I had the chance to meet Stéphane Lucien and Quinten Galle, who, despite my lack of knowledge, allowed me to start in the programmatic video department as a long-term intern.
I landed on a terrific team and learnt from the bests: Karel Goethals, Isabelle Lambert, Laurie Stroobants and Christophe Decoen.
During those 7 years, I had the chance to learn, develop, teach and evolve while crossing paths with so many people that mentionning all of them would not be possible but they were all amazing human beings: brilliant colleagues, inspiring managers, terrific partners and publishers, challenging, kind and sometimes tough clients who all shaped me as a profesionnal.
Lately, I heard a roaring sound in the distance that I chose to follow down. Galvanized by the people I've met, I decided to embark on a new adventure.
So thrilled for what's just started and what's yet to come in this new chapter of my professional journey. Together, we'll blossom.
