Over the next few weeks, we want to shed some light on the network GHGA operates in - starting with GHGA's Contribution to the European Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI). GHGA is excited to be an integral part of the Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI), a groundbreaking European initiative spearheaded by ELIXIR and funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Programme. This collaborative effort unites national authorities, research organisations, and technology providers from 24 countries to build a cross-border network of national genome collections and related data. GDI aims to propel data-driven biomedical research and personalised medicine by facilitating access to genomic and clinical data across Europe. It builds on the groundwork laid by the 1+ Million Genomes (1+MG) Initiative and the B1MG Project. Reflecting on the outstanding meeting I just attended… major kudos to the Critical Path Institute (C-Path) on the 2024 Complex In Vitro Model Qualification Framework Workshop.
