Exciting News from the FAME Project!🤩 We're pleased to announce that FAME project's #partners will play a prominent role in several sessions at the upcoming Urbanism Next Europe Conference 2024, taking place in Amsterdam on 9-11 October. Our team members, Tom Alkim - MAPtm, Satu Innamaa - VTT, and Isabel Wilmink -TNO, will each be contributing their expertise across multiple discussions. On Wednesday, Isabel Wilmink will be involved in the workshop "Sustainable and Equitable Policies on Emerging Technologies,” will discuss the European policy's shift towards sustainable and equitable policies within the realm of new mobility technologies On Thursday afternoon, Satu Innamaa and Isabel Wilmink are set to speak in the session “Considering the Expected Societal Impacts of Automated Vehicles in Urban Areas With the EU Common Evaluation Methodology,” focusing on how automated vehicles impact #urbanmobility and how to incorporate these impacts into policy frameworks. We are delighted to present the 2024 edition of ‘Transport Planning: From Theory to Practice’! A workshop held by MIC-HUB and mobilità in città foundation at Politecnico di Milano.   Mobility is essential to people's daily lives, providing access to resources and opportunities. However, the unequal distribution of mobility resources exacerbates social exclusion and systemic inequalities, disproportionately affecting marginalised communities.   In this workshop, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the role of transport planning in promoting sustainable, liveable and equitable communities. By examining the spatial distribution of road crashes involving marginalised micromobility users, they will uncover socio-economic and demographic factors that contribute to social segregation within micromobility spaces.   The workshop aims to challenge prevailing paradigms that perpetuate unequal mobility distribution and to address mobility injustice in planning, design and policy-making. With a specific focus on micromobility users in disadvantaged neighbourhoods, participants will assess their needs and risks in accessing infrastructure.   The workshop will provide hands-on learning opportunities. Participants will engage in action research to understand local experiences and translate findings into project proposals for community empowerment.   The workshop is conducted in English and is divided into two main parts: the research part and the action part. Looking Back on 2024: AMS Institute and a Decade of Urban Innovation 🌱 As the year comes to a close, we’re proud to have co-created 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 📘 with AMS Institute—a practical guide capturing their 10-year journey of building impactful urban innovation ecosystems. Having supported the early steps of AMS Institute in Amsterdam, this was a particularly meaningful project for us at Blossity. It has been inspiring to reflect on what was envisioned 10 years ago and how that has evolved radically, and become deeply embedded in Amsterdam.
