In the last 5 years, I have been able to acquire a lot of knowledge and establish my own strategies in the art market, which I can now successfully use for my clients such as artists, gallery owners and collectors.
The main pillar of my work is the strategic management of contemporary artists. Not many people know this job description yet, as it is a new kind of positioning in the art market. I plan and advise my artists strategically in the development of their careers. I find new collaborations for them and negotiate with galleries, museums, collections and biennials. And for this, I travel a lot: about 30 times a year to 30 - 50 art fairs, museum openings and biennials. I coordinate projects and exhibitions, focusing on the administrative and strategic aspects. For the curatorial part, I work together with art historians, gallery owners and curators in order to achieve the best result for everyone involved.
Thanks to my growing knowledge and network, another activity has now been added. I work as an advisor for galleries and help them to refine their strategy, plan future art fair participations and development of their artist roster.
In addition, I work as a consultant for art collections, helping them to acquire works of art. The fact that I have a good overview of what’s happening in the art market thanks to all the trips to art fairs and biennials plays a major role here.
I also strategically collect art for myself and my agency from artists who I think have a lot of potential. I mainly focus on buying emerging and early-career artists, but from time to time we also acquire artworks by established artists.
