Our GMP investment, now in its final stages, represents the largest investment in Estonia's biotechnology sector. 👏 A huge shoutout to our dedicated team who've been the driving force behind this multifaceted project. Your commitment is truly praiseworthy! This success is a testament to our collective efforts. By reinvesting our profits, we've laid the foundation for crucial developments, with each team member playing a vital role. Though the road ahead is long and challenging, we're steadily progressing towards our goal: developing and producing drug candidates at Icosagen to reach patients in dire need. 💪 Thank you all, and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! Happy birthday, Tõnis! 🤓 Meet our new Chief Business Officer Tõnis Eerme. And, in typical Icosagen fashion, he was thrown into the whirlwind. Not even a week in, we had a Business Development strategy retreat and ended the week with a meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia to discuss Icosagen’s plans and CAR-T program in more detail. We asked Tõnis about his start at Icosagen and what it’s like being part of our BD team. And like a proper📄Excel(-lent) man of deep tech Economics, he answered us in bullet points (obviously). Thoughts: 1) A company with an attractive value proposition and high growth potential - a unique technology stack to help accelerate the development and launch of new medicines 2) A company with fantastic people - an energetic and cohesive team of professionals 3) A company with a unique organisational culture. Expectations – unlocking the potential of our business through smart and meaningful action. What a guy. But we can promise you that he’s really warm once you meet him. 🍄 Our microbiology team is at  Toidumess 2024 in Tallinn! It might come as a surprise that in addition to our microbiology testing department for GMP production, we have an accredited food microbiology testing laboratory since 2010. We want to ensure our local foods are safe and tested across Estonia. With food safety testing, we can enumerate or detect harmful bacteria, yeasts, moulds and other microorganisms in food samples. Our core microbiology services are microbiological and molecular analysis of food, water, feed and environmental samples. ☝️ But we also provide microbiology advice to microbiologists in food businesses and food hygiene advice to food business operators. Microbiological  tests ensure that food products are safe for consumption and meet quality standards set by regulatory authorities. We are proud to support and cooperate with Estonian Food Enterprises 🫣 But… Our core mission is and will always be to drive advancements through R&D in the field of therapeutic antibody discovery, bioengineering and manufacturing.
