In a recent blog for NHS Voices for NHS Confederation, Jacob Haddad, CEO and Co-founder of Accurx, discussed two key principles for a more sustainable operating model in primary care. 1️⃣ Avoid an 'appointment-first' approach: Shift from booking every patient into appointments on a first-come first-served basis to triaging every request for the best course of action. 2️⃣ Optimize every workflow for better access: Provide digital tools to meet patients' needs outside of appointments and streamline communication between staff and patients. These principles are already transforming patient care in primary care settings for many Accurx users. They also have the potential to create impact across the whole care system, from acute trusts to community trusts and pharmacies.
