The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed two new drug categories for pharmaceutical products that are difficult to compound. Under the proposed rule, there would be one list for section 503A and one for 503B, with each list having three categories of drug products and their own criteria for inclusion. According to Iran FDA regulation: 1.    Locally manufactured pharmaceutical products pricing method is something close to “cost plus” method. 2.    Imported pharmaceutical products pricing method is something close to “Reference base pricing” method. Normally, For pricing of pharmaceutical product; All relevant data submitted in Iran FDA and Iran FDA commission make decision in this respect. Decision is more based on expert discussions, the knowledge of the Commission members can be effective in the final decision, and the lack of knowledge can lead to a reduction or increase in the final price and ultimately injustice in the commission’s output  According to Nikinaz Ashrafi Shahmirzadi article published in Iran J Pharm Res. 2021 Winter ; It seems that the commission itself is the source of conflict of interest and the owners of the pricing procedure themselves are some kind of stakeholders who decide on a case-by-case basis rather than policymaking at the commission.   #PharmaceuticalProductsPricing #IranPharmaRegulation #PricingRegulation #RizophoraWise
