Short form creators don’t get anywhere near the respect they deserve. There’s a widespread belief that short-form content lacks substance and is ultimately lower quality. Yet, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Here’s why👇🏻 Yes, of course there are plenty of accounts that fit the stereotypes, chasing virality with surface level hacks and gimmicks. But for every superficial “lifestyle” creator you see, there’s an incredible creative out there pushing the envelope of what’s possible in just a few minutes. Don’t let the limited video lengths fool you. Constraints don’t restrict creativity. They inspire it. Short form content has made it easier than ever for anyone to gain widespread recognition by sharing their creative passions with the world. I've seen filmmakers with higher production quality than Hollywood studios out of their basements. I've seen independent musicians outperforming household names signed to globally recognized labels. I've seen engineers build functional products that sell out instantly. If you still think creators on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts aren't worth paying attention to, then you've barely scratched the surface.

Do content creators really want to stay broke? 🎨💸 No. No one really wants to be broke. BUT, you’ll be surprised at how many 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒔𝒆 to make money because of this misconception. There are two kinds of creators: those in it for the art, and hustlers who want to turn content into cash. I help creators monetize so I speak to a lot of them. You wouldn’t believe how many ‘artist’ creators refuse to make money from their channels. They see themselves as “pure” and are convinced that making money somehow taints their craft. But here’s the kicker… This mindset isn’t just misguided—it’s selfish. By refusing to monetize, they’re denying their audience deeper experiences. Consider the science influencer who wouldn’t even listen to an idea that could’ve sparked a love for STEM in countless kids. Why? Because they "don’t believe in monetization." It’s also short-sighted. Even if they’re not actively chasing dollars, they’re stockpiling gold. Imagine being Smaug the dragon, hoarding treasure until a hobbit comes along to snatch it away. Here, the hobbit is Instagram, Youtube, or whoever. They make money whether you monetize or not. When the dust settles and the natural life of these accounts is over, will the creators still be happy to be a purest starving artist? Or will they regret not seizing the moment? As a content creator, you can earn an income online in many different ways. While I primarily earn an income through brand partnerships, I've also made money by offering one-on-one coaching and selling courses to other content creators. My advice to new creators is to take their time exploring different revenue streams. It takes time to figure out your brand, your audience, and what revenue stream makes sense for you. Even if you're a creator with a specific expertise in your respective industry, I'd encourage you to explore how others, both in and outside your industry, are monetizing. #Content #Creators Deserve a Faster Path to Earnings Let's be honest current platforms don't exactly offer content creators a quick track to earning. Sure, platforms rake in the big bucks thanks to creators’ hard work, but how much do creators earn? Creators work hard in creating, brainstorming, filming, and editing. Then they work extra hard to build communities and audiences, all on platforms often governed by opaque guidelines and ever-shifting algorithms. Without any information, the reach shifts, forcing them to consider paid promotions to amplify reach. It's like their visibility hinges on a whimsical algorithm instead of the value they generate. The irony? While creators fuel the platform's profits, they are, not able to generate their deserved earning. This is especially jarring when you consider the fact that if the platform disappears, so does all creators’ effort. So, simply, shouldn't creators deserve to earn from what they generate on a "platform for creators"? Don't they deserve a faster, more transparent path to financial success? It's time for platforms to step up and offer more diverse, organic reach options and, yes, faster paths to earning or creators and respect the content consumers’ watch time as well. Because let's face it, a creator economy shouldn't leave creators struggling to make ends meet. #creatoreconomy #entrepeneurship #contentCreation
