🌊 Decades of Data: Insights from the Dutch Coastline 🌊 Join us as we chat with Nina Leestemaker, a representative of the Strandaanspoelsel (Beach Washup) Monitoring Project (SMP), one of the winning projects of the #DTOBioFlow open call! Stichting Anemoon Since 1997, SMP has been utilizing citizen science to monitor changes in coastal marine ecosystems along the Dutch coastline. This long-term data, collected by dedicated volunteers, offers critical insights into the health of our nearshore environments. 🦀🐚 “Our data is very valuable because it’s long-term data. You can really use it to calculate trends: coastal ecosystems are the first to react if something is changing in the sea.” 🔗 Watch the full interview to discover more about this impactful project! https://lnkd.in/dXPGc8xM
