Being creative, producing new images in a diligent and organized way, is one of the surprising challenges I've found since I took up serious photography. Yes, you can rest on your laurels, polish the website now and then, and hope that what you are doing will keep you interested. However, I believe that is a great way to lose interest and become enamored with the other shiny things going on around you. This year I've challenged myself to produce just two new images a day. One will highlight my interest in action photography, the other I've labelled as blue marble work - those images that take me out into everything else the world has to offer.
That is actually a lot of new images. Ansel Adams famously said that a dozen outstanding new images a year is a good crop. I think that is still valid even in the digital world, and perhaps it is even harder to get those distinctive shots when you can create a few hundred in a matter of minutes. Having said that, it takes a lot of "pretty-good" photos to work your way up to those outstanding versions that you haul out when people ask you to show your best.
I think there are a couple of images with real potential in the February crop highlighted in the attached video. Those will make it to the website and online galleries. The search, and the work, goes on.
