Tomorrow is the day! Don't miss out on getting the latest insights on respiratory integrity and check out the upcoming webinar in poultry world!
Many pathogens that cause chronic diseases in birds use the respiratory tract as a primary route of infection, and respiratory disorders are the main leading source of financial losses in the poultry business. Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) and Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV), are particularly serious viral respiratory pathogens causing serious impact During the upcoming webinar, with Kemin Industries, experts Maarten De Gussem and Abdallah Makahleh will discuss integrated risk management against emerging respiratory challenges compromising welfare and profitability in your poultry operation. Dynamic executive leader and physician-scientist with extensive experience in the advancement and product lifecycle management of vaccines and immunotherapies for infectious disease, cancer and immunology.
For some time, public health officials have been concerned about the possibility of a strain of #influenza that has been common among birds (H5N1, also known as "Avian Influenza" or "Bird Flu") gaining the ability to infect humans. Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an alert that two cases of "highly pathogenic avian influenza" had infected cattle workers and that clinicians should be on the lookout for additional cases. We will continue to be at risk of epidemic respiratory virus infections, and we need to continue to develop effective countermeasures. At Access to Advanced Health Institute (AAHI), we are working with the United States Government to rapidly develop two approaches. The first is an #adjuvant that can be administered by nasal spray up to 4 days before exposure to an epidemic respiratory virus, offering short term protection to many different infections. The second is a nasally-delivered #rnavaccine, that offers durable and strong protection against highly pathogenic influenza. Follow our progress at our website!
