As part of the business meetings scheduled during his visit to attend the IDF World Dairy Summit at Paris, France, Dr Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB & Member Secretary, Indian National Committee of International Dairy Federation (IDF) attended the Board Meeting of IDF as its Board Member. Dr Shah also attended the meeting of IDF National Committee Secretaries to deliberate on the recent works of IDF and the future plans. During the meeting of the National Secretaries, Mr Piercristiano Brazzale, President, IDF thanked the NC Secretaries for their cooperation and made a special mention of the Indian National Committee (INC) and thanked Chairman, NDDB for the active support extended to IDF. He further explained the contribution of India in IDF activities and its importance in the global dairy sector. Dr Shah also attended the first meeting of the IDF Task Force on the place of Dairy in the Protein Transition and proposed that considering that India has a large lacto vegetarian population, a seperate category for dairy within the animal protein sources is required, which may be different from poultry or meat, which was well appreciated. #WeAreDairy
