💧 SC APAVITAL SA drives innovation in water management From the very first months of implementing the Xylem Vue platform, ApaVital has experienced significant benefits. The key: a single platform that centralizes data from different sources and transforms it into valuable insights for decision-making. 📊 Key achievements so far: ✅ All information in one place – Data, KPIs, and visualization in a single dashboard. ✅ Better network understanding – Enables prioritization of actions, a deeper understanding of infrastructure behavior, and improved operational efficiency. ✅ Advanced water loss management – Breaking down data silos to enhance detection and enable faster response. 💡 "We studied many platforms on the market and realized that this one was created by utilities, for utilities. It fits perfectly with our mission and needs." – Mihail Dorus, General Manager at ApaVital. This collaboration with Xylem Vue, along with the support of experts like Kenny Khoo, Managing Director, Eastern Europe South at Xylem and Pepe Chambo, Client Solutions Architect at Idrica, is helping ApaVital move toward a more efficient and sustainable future in water management. #SmartWater #WaterManagement https://lnkd.in/d-JARieT

Best invest in Building and talking about Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry as data centres are. You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion. https://lnkd.in/ge_aeX7M The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you. Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun. Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission. https://lnkd.in/g8sMZtpR Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally. https://lnkd.in/gbd_mZqk By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period. https://lnkd.in/gY9J3MQY Now see what is happening in the Fusion industry in the world. https://lnkd.in/g9hMBD7a As fission trebles, fuel shortage is increasingly real,
Really interesting event #innovatingtonetzero by the #energysystemscatapult. Learned lots and saw some interesting potential solutions. I am looking forward to reading the full report in more detail.

🤝 Collaborating in an international project is always exciting. And collaborating with other international projects is even more! As the RELiEF consortium was visiting the #Xplorer2024 Conference in Lappeenranta, Finland, last week, a poster session presented the opportunity to exchange on common practices with other projects. Minttu Laukkanen, from the REINFORCE Project, presented the project's approach on the Battery Value Chain, while RELiEF, represented by EURICE – European Research and Project Office GmbH and TechConcepts B.V. offered an overview of the different exploitation pathways of the project. Here is to the next steps of working together towards #reduction of #rawmaterials waste and #recycling ! Thanks to all participants for their contribution to the success of WindEurope's #WindTech24! We had over 460 participants from all continents (except Antartica... 🐧) We finished the day yesterday with sessions on #LiDAR and the impact of resource on #performance. Marie-Anne Cowan and Gemma Harrington moderated the latter, with Romain Molins finding that atmospheric stability significantly affects #wakemodelling in wind farms, and most current models underestimate wake propagation in very stable atmospheres, indicating room for improvement. Sam Williams gave a very lively presentation of a validation study on turbine interaction modelling at the #Arkona #offshore wind farm, which found variable performance in certain wind direction sectors, indicating unaccounted parameters in the models, and emphasised the benefits of #collaboration. Eliott Lindsay explored blockage effects at the Rødsand 2 wind farm, finding that while blockage effects on #powercurves (#BEPC) exist, their impact is small compared to the induction field of a single turbine, suggesting that correcting for BEPC in measured datasets may not significantly reduce bias on power curves. And Samuel Davoust proposed a new approach for operational assessment and monitoring of wind turbines using physics-based models, which showed promising validation results and was effective in detecting under-performance and incorrect curtailment schemes in case studies. https://lnkd.in/eSiBwsQM Meanwhile, on LiDARs, Laura Valldecabres compared LiDAR turbulence estimates from co-located lidars with met masts at 10 different sites with varying terrain complexity, and discussed the risks and limitations of using LiDAR-only data for site suitability and energy yield assessments on complex sites. Ellie Young addressed the challenges of using Floating LiDAR Systems (FLS) for increasing offshore wind turbine hub heights, revealing significant errors and uncertainties in lidar measurements at higher heights, particularly due to aerosol concentration. And Sara Koller discussed the challenges of using LiDARs in low aerosol atmospheres and during heavy fog, particularly in winter, and presented a method developed by Vaisala to overcome data loss in these conditions, tested at several locations in Switzerland. Lars Landberg and Paula Gomez moderated the Q&A https://lnkd.in/eKefRW_t Mainstream Renewable Power RWE Frazer-Nash Consultancy Tipspeed BlackRock Ramboll Enel Green Power Meteotest AG All the presentation files and audio recordings of all sessions will soon be available in our online proceedings for all attendees and all WindEurope members!

⚠️ Materials make up 40% of the entire construction budget…but we WASTE around 13% of materials - these go directly to waste without even being used! ⚠️ For our last #Meetthefounders episode in our Suffolk Technologies' Boost Partner event series, we have… Founder 👩💼Brittany Harris FICE Company 💼 Qualis Flow (Qflow) Qflow is a digital platform enabling construction teams to collect real-time materials and waste data at the source, enabling project teams to make informed decisions on cost, carbon, and quality. 🚧 🌍 With over 300 projects deployed across the UK, US and Australia, Qualis Flow tracks everything that comes into site by a simple photograph 📸 , which they digitize, analyse and audit, and flag to the construction team. THE RESULT? Less cost and waste, improved quality, and managed carbon! Find out more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gpkDqgqe Louisa Dickins #constructiontechnology #decarbonisation #sustainability

Will you be at the Carbon Capture Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg? Alexander Kotschi, Alexander Laugwitz, Christian Riber, Christian Wolff, Moritz Köpcke and I will be there! Here is a glimpse of what I will be presenting: 💰 Carbon capture and storage projects are capital intensive infrastructure projects with various technical and commercial risks. 🤝 While each Carbon Capture project and site is different, most projects undergo similar project phases up to the Final Investment Decision (FID) and ultimately financial close. 📋 Following well-tested project delivery models and managing project risks will allow a project strategy that can successfully deliver a carbon capture project. ➡ I will present alternative ways of minimizing the risk during a carbon capture project execution. ❓ Would you like to check out our CCUS work at Ramboll?
