Having a dealer like CR Kennedy makes life so much easier for us at IDS. Their after-sales support is second to none. The team understands how the equipment works, as well as its applications, benefits, and limitations. As an owner of geophysical equipment, I've had some awful experiences with salespeople and after-sales support. There are plenty of salespeople who oversell and don't have a firm understanding of how the equipment works. And after the sale, good luck getting any local technical support. You'll often have to wait over 24 hours for assistance—sometimes even longer. If a component breaks or is damaged, you may have to pack it up or the whole system up and send it overseas, which incurs import/export duties. So be careful who you buy from, because cheaper isn’t always cheaper in the long run, especially when a system has to be shipped to the other side of the world and you don’t have one to replace it with. CR Kennedy has its own repair center with technicians trained by IDS to fix IDS equipment. But the biggest benefit with CRK is their support after the sale. When you win, they win, and we win.
