Our new article “Over-the-Air Synchronization for Coherent Digital Automotive Radar Networks” from Lukas Sigg is now available as Early Access in IEEE Transactions on Radar Systems: https://lnkd.in/eeTTb3XX This work, developed within the funding project VERANO (https://lnkd.in/eSYq95My), explores how radar networks can achieve superior performance through over-the-air synchronization using digital systems. Our research demonstrates the feasibility of synchronizing radar nodes by correcting carrier frequency, sampling frequency, and timing offsets.

Today at a LEO demo event in partnership with Halim Yanikomeroglu Afsoon Alidadi Shamsabadi and Carleton University I unboxed a Reskube for the first time. I thought it would be fun to share that experience with the students and industry professionals in attendance who are part of the IEEE chapter in Ottawa. Reskube combines a portable power plant, multi-network load balancer and wireless access point into a single unit. It does a lot more than that with an amazing control interface that can be managed from anywhere. We are going to integrate this game changing technology into demos of our rapidly deployable user terminals to provide near-instantaneous connectivity anywhere on earth. Thanks to Andrew Lawton for sending this to us to enhance our agility by providing power and resiliency on the move!

Our paper "Probabilistic Constellation Shaping for Enhancing Spectral Efficiency in NOMA VLC Systems" is now out in the prestigious IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications! In this work, we proposed a practical transceiver that derives and implements the capacity-approaching distribution for VLC multiple access channels. The proposed scheme adapts its rate to the optical (SNR) by utilizing non-uniformly distributed discrete constellation symbols and low complexity channel encode, enhancing the spectral efficiency of multi-user VLC channels. https://lnkd.in/e3TKPb-w Amanat Kafizov
