As Fourth of July approaches, it's important to remember that safety comes first, especially when it comes to fireworks. Don’t become part of the 12,000 injured by fireworks this holiday with these safety tips: 🎇 Keep a bucket of water and/or a hose nearby. After the fun, let casings sit for 5-10 minutes and then soak them in water before properly disposing of them. 🎇 Create a safety perimeter. For ground devices this should be 35 feet, for aerial it should be 150 feet. 🎇 Don’t forget about pets! Take them inside if possible and try to lower stress by giving extra treats or turning up music to drown out the noise. 🎇 Always check county and city restrictions on what fireworks are allowed before purchasing. 🎇 Always use fireworks outside in a clear area, away from buildings, vehicles, and flammable materials. 🎇 Never let children handle fireworks. Ensure that all fireworks activities are supervised by responsible adults.
