Weeefiner is part of the new multinational EU Horizon project “REMHub” which focuses on recovering and recycling rare earth elements (REEs) ♻ What makes REMHub project important? 🔶 REEs are essential for the objectives of Europe’s Green Deal and digitalization 🔶 Currently, the EU is highly dependent on imports of these elements which is far from ideal 🔶 By enhancing the recovery and recycling of REEs and magnets, we can improve their availability and support sustainable value chains During the project, Weeefiner will be utilizing 4D Scavenger® solutions to recover rare earth elements from liquids. #REMHub #EUHorizon #REEs #recoverysolutions #4DScavenger

[PROJECT UPDATE] Last week EuCIA joined partners ACCIONA, CETMA , CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico, Enecolab Srl, Gees Recycling, Gjenkraft AS, MTB, STD - Etat 9, RINA and TECNALIA Research & Innovation in Italy for the 2nd General Assembly of the EU-funded REFRESH project. 🔹 REFRESH project EU is developing a circular, smart system enabling improved #recycling of glass fibre reinforced #composites from end-of-use wind turbine blades. EuCIA is leading Work Package 7: Dissemination, Communication & Exploitation. Åbo Akademi University, Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC), Viking Line, and Kempower have created one of the world’s first green maritime corridors between Turku and Stockholm! 🌊 The corridor was created through the innovation project Decatrip, which began in 2022. The project has investigated the technology needed to modernize Viking Line’s vessels and retrofit them with batteries to reduce fuel consumption and methane emissions. 🔋 – The Decatrip project proved that sustainable shipping using renewable fuels is feasible, but you need to consider the whole business case and involve both technology providers and end customers. By doing so it was possible to create the world’s first Green Maritime Corridor, says Magnus Gustafsson, Research Director at the Laboratory of Industrial Management at ÅAU. 🚢 #greenshipping #maritimecorridor
