The National Science Board (NSB) is wrapping up its first extensive evaluation of National Science Foundation (NSF) merit review criteria in over a decade and they want to hear YOUR perspectives on the utility of the current criteria! Here is a good example of what you can find in ASCMs research papers. Which of 3 common picking procedures is best? There are opinions, there are comments that start with "based on my experience..." and then there are findings published in peer reviewed research papers. The best basis you can ever make for your 'opinion' is to have it informed by research like this! ASCM/IPICS membership unlocks a world of research like this. And the best option is... one thing that was drilled into us on the MBA journey in TCD was to make evidence based findings.
