Keep your eye on the 8% We love games. And we really love working out what helps games to sell. One of the things we spend time on each week is looking at the ‘8%’. According to NewZoo, that’s the playtime left when you take games over six years old and returning franchises away. We’ve found over time that tracking the watch time (time the audience spent watching) and stream time (time spent by creators broadcasting) of these games (tweaked to remove any game over a year old) is a strong indication of their relative share of voice. So we’ve decided to share a slice of this and, every week, will publish the top ten with a commentary that highlights the most interesting stories, whether they are in the top 10 or not.
