Over the past few days, I've been dropping knowledge bombs on strategically hiring for your business. But snagging all-star players is just step one! We gotta onboard them PROPERLY. 🙂 Here's a guide to help you integrate new hires seamlessly. 1. Complete any paperwork, tax forms (if needed), payments to officially hire. 2. Make some onboarding videos so that you won't have to repeat yourself every time you make a hire. (I have a guide for this. Let me know if you want it.) 3. Have a kickoff call to walk through existing systems, tools, contacts, passwords, processes and identify gaps to set up. 4. Nurture the relationship. Set cadence for check-ins to gauge if they're happy and successful, at the same time discuss workload, review deliverables, give feedback and see where can you support. 5. Schedule recurring time to meet and touch base as you get started. 6. Discuss preferred communication methods - chat, email, meetings. And response time expectations both ways. 7. Cover policies for revisions, turnaround times on requests, deadlines for milestones, and scheduling conflicts. 8. Set up systems for managing workflows and projects, sharing files and assets.
