Apple today announced that the next version of macOS will be called Sequoia. The hardware requirements for Sequoia will be largely the same as the current macOS Sonoma. However, the writing is now on the wall regarding Macs using older Intel chips. Most of the cool new features - particularly Apple Intelligence - will require newer Apple Silicon chips. So if you’re still hanging on to older Macs that use Intel CPUs, your computing experience is going to be increasingly limited.
