𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁 👇 📑 There are specific symbols you can use to create a user flow diagram, each of which represents a particular step or action in the user flow. All of them are standard across the different types of user flow diagrams. 𝟭-𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 marks the starting or ending point of the system. It usually contains the word "Start" or "End". 𝟮-𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 are moments in the user flow where the user must make a decision, such as selecting options or choosing between different paths. Decision points often contain conditional logic that affects the next step in the flow. 𝟯-𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 represents a process, action, or function. It's the most widely-used symbol in flowcharting. 𝟰-𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 indicates a sequence of actions that perform a specific task embedded within a larger process. This sequence of actions could be described in more detail on a separate flowchart. 𝟱-𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 represents data housed on a storage device. 𝟲-𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹 sums the input of several converging paths.
