The Ni-kshay Symposium at the World Conference on Lung Health 2023 was attended by close to 150 diverse participants from various countries and organizations for an engaging discussion on the learnings from the Indian NTEPs Ni-kshay system. The session emphasized Ni-kshay's impact in India, spanning national to sub-district levels, and explored replicating similar data systems globally. There was a keen interest among countries to learn and adopt the system to their respective programmatic settings. USAID and the World Bank advocated extending Ni-kshay to nations like Indonesia and the Philippines, addressing interoperability challenges. Towards the end of 2023, I had the privilege of sharing basic strategies at Afya na Haki towards achieving impactful #healthtech developments in last mile communities in Uganda. Needs assessment, robust planning, community involvement and engagement, partnerships, research and regulations were some of the key elements that I highlighted as crucial for achieving impactful and sustainable technology developments cost-effectively. At MOBIKLINIC, we understand that the efficiency and effectiveness associated with digital health can only be realized at scale, and we believe that many players are needed for optimal scaling. That's why we find it essential to share the best practices from the lessons learnt as we try to develop blueprints for digital health migration in Sub-Saharan Africa.
